My mother and her friends are artists creating beautiful pieces of art. But as it is in life; for every success there has to be a few failures.
And that’s how I got started. First I focused on finding ways to reimagine the ‘failures’ hidden around her studio. Then I got my hands on other artists works and found ways to reimagine them as well.
Many of the pieces used in my work were either damaged or for some other reason were no longer wanted. My favorite thing to reimagine is ceramics. I use discards from different ceramic artists in my work, but most often they come from Frans Rood or Carolyn Martin.
My work combines century old barnboard, slate, cast iron, newer distressed woods and other materials to create new pieces.
See the story behind each creation through my blog and view the gallery.
Hope you enjoy
