I must admit I really don’t have a neat story to go with this blog. Going through the photographs in my box I found a couple of the drum section of the band and wanted to capture them. For posterity I guess.

I formed a real bond with these guys even though I was close to the age of their kids, and in a couple of cases grandkids. Some are no longer with us but the memories remain.
Thirty five years later I remember all the faces and most of the names. A few random memories for each:
- Andy was my teacher and a friend.
- Norm was always on my case to get a haircut.
- Noel and his brother Eddie were originally from Belfast, Noels favorite phrase was “stay away from my daughter”. Both had wicked sense of humors.
- Stu was married to a woman from Poland. For some reason I didn’t understand he was forever getting the gears about something. A great guy.
- Bill M was a salesman and would do anything for you
- Bill S. was from Glasgow and lived near me in North York . He used to drive me to practices in my early days with the band. I still fondly remember his wife Moria.
- Bob’s passion was lead soldiers. He did amazing work – still have some. A warm wonderful man.
- Vic was a Korean War vet. I only knew him for a short time but he was classy.
- Chris and his wife Carrie were like second parents during those times. I often crashed at their place downtown. They were on my guest list when I came back from Calgary to get married. Chris was my best man.
