I was at my local wood salvage place where I found a a few beat up pieces of barn board. What made it special was the patina.
It had the remains of many years of red barn paint on the weathered wood. I knew that I needed to do something with it.
That something ended up being an entryway piece. I added cubbies and space to hang keys and a bowl for change. Finished with 3 coats of urethane.
